Fans of the Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors will finally have their day when a new Bluray of the Frank Oz film adaptation is released today.

The fact that a 23-minute original ending to the film, one that was loyal to the stage production, was cut and reshot as a "happy" ending is the stuff of legend. Well after more than 25 years, the original ending to the film has been restored in full-color on Bluray.

This isn't the first time the original ending was available. A 1998 DVD release included an unfinished, black-and-white version of that ending. But now on Bluray you can watch Audrey II take over the world in a finished full color version. Here's hoping we get a theatrical release, too. Those epic 23-minutes demand to be seen on the big screen.
