Cinemapocalypse Invades Chicago's Music Box Theatre

Not everyone can make it to the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, but diehard film buffs in Chicago... well... the Drafthouse is coming to you. Original Drafthouse programmers Lars Nilsen and Zack Carlson are bringing their curated exploitation mini-fest, Cinemapocalypse, to the Music Box Theatre on July 20 and 21.

The event kicks off Friday, July 20, with 79-minutes of violent, sex-filled grindhouse trailers titled Trailer War. Also on Friday, you can catch a screening of Vice Squad, a film about the darkest corners of Hollywood. Plus, the film's director Gary Sherman will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A. Capping of the night will be the campy Indonesian actioneer Lady Terminator

Cinemapocalypse continues on Saturday evening with screenings of the creepy horror flick Tourist Trap, the Hong Kong crime thriller Miami Connection and a special surprise screening at midnight. A full Cinemapocalypse pass costs just $25 bucks. You can head to the Music Box website for ticket information.
